DRAFT — not legal advice, not in force. For review by a qualified lawyer before publication.
Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE]
This policy is part of the Terms of Service. It applies to everyone who uses EdgeCMS Cloud, including people you invite and anyone reading content you publish through it.
1. Content you may not store or publish
- Content that is illegal where you or your audience are, or that infringes someone else's intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights.
- Child sexual abuse material. We report it to the authorities.
- Content that promotes terrorism or violent extremism, threatens violence, or harasses or incites hatred against people based on protected characteristics.
- Malware, phishing pages, or content designed to deceive people into giving up credentials or money.
- Personal data you have no lawful right to process, or special-category data (for example health data) unless we have agreed to it in writing.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery.
2. Things you may not do
- Break, probe or bypass the security, tenant isolation, rate limits or plan limits of the Service, except under section 4.
- Access another customer's workspace or data.
- Use the Service to send spam or bulk unsolicited messages, including through webhooks.
- Overload the Service on purpose, or use it to attack other systems.
- Mine cryptocurrency or run workloads unrelated to content management.
- Resell, sublicense or white-label the Service without a written agreement.
- Create accounts by automated means, or create multiple free accounts to avoid plan limits.
3. AI features
- Do not use AI features to produce content that breaks section 1, or to impersonate real people in a misleading way.
- Do not try to make AI features ignore their safeguards or perform actions you are not authorized to perform.
- Follow the usage policies of the AI providers listed in Subprocessors.
4. Security research
We welcome responsible security reports at [SECURITY EMAIL]. Test only against your own workspace, do not access other customers' data, do not degrade the Service, and give us reasonable time to fix an issue before disclosing it. We will not take legal action against good-faith research that follows these rules.
5. Enforcement
If we reasonably believe this policy has been broken, we may remove or disable content, limit features, or suspend the workspace or account. Where we can, we will contact you first and give you a chance to fix the problem; for serious or illegal cases we may act straight away. Repeated or serious breaches may lead to termination under the Terms.
6. Reporting abuse and copyright complaints
Report abuse to [ABUSE EMAIL]. Copyright complaints should include the work concerned, the URL of the infringing content, your contact details and a statement that you are authorized to act for the rights holder. We forward valid complaints to the customer and may remove the content. Customers may send a counter-notice to the same address.
